Hi there, I’m so glad you are here!

As a mom of 2, wife and registered dental hygienist I love to care for others. I always have. Being the youngest in my family I had no younger siblings but, I did grow up on a farm, so there were always lots of animals that I helped to look after. As I grew up i became a Sunday School teacher and enjoyed leading the youngest members of our church family. After college I started work as a dental hygienist and the patients quickly became my favourite part of the job. Sure I was providing them with dental care but getting to know them and their families was a privilege. They would share with me their life joys, but also their struggles, which were often health concerns. As a dental health professional I provided them with information on how to improve their oral health and discussed the many links it has with our wellness. I will never forget the nutrition class where my professor said, “The mouth is the gateway to the body.” This statement was profound. It meant that by taking care of our oral health it would directly affect our overall health. We need to have teeth for our lifetime to provide our bodies with the proper nutrition it needs to thrive! Many of us have family members with health concerns. I was 10 years old when my mom was first diagnosed with cancer and although we never truly know a cause or cure it does change you. She started looking at food choices and ingredients as well as the products she used in our home. She was discovering that small changes could have a big impact on both mental and physical health. Watching her experience stayed with me and taught me to look at things through a different lens. I think that’s why when I was at my first doTERRA essential oil class I wanted to know more. At first I didn’t know where there was a “hole” in my life that these oils would fill but I knew they appealed to that part of me that wanted to do better. I started by switching to green cleaning options in my home and continued to learn. I’m still learning and it’s a journey that I love to share with others! I truly believe that when we know better we do better and of course the famous quote “Our greatest wealth is our health” is something I continue to aim for.
